How the Document Review Process Works:
Each draft chapter/section of the Groundwater Sustainability Plan (GSP) is publicly-vetted at the Groundwater Sustainability Commission (GSC) meeting and each Groundwater Sustainability Agency (GSA) Board or Council meetings as follows:
-
Upon GSC’s recommendation, the draft GSP chapters/sections are to be posted on SLOWaterBasin.com for public comments for a minimum of 30 days. Anyone from the public can review the documents and submit comment using the online Submit Comment Form. Each GSA will receive and review all public comments along with the draft GSP chapters/sections.
-
All draft GSP chapters/sections and corresponding public input will be posted online . During the public comment period, the public, the GSAs, and individual GSC Members/Alternates may provide comments using the Submit Comment Form or an alternative method, if necessary.
-
Public or GSA comments received during each draft GSP chapter/section’s comment period will be considered when sections are compiled into a complete public draft GSP document, slated for further public review in summer of 2021.
